ZF Services UK to unveil latest propulsion technology

Following show success at Seawork 2018, ZF Marine, worldwide leader in marine propulsion systems, is returning to exhibit its propulsion range for fast craft, pleasure craft and commercial vessels; including two transmission products, ZF 400 A and ZF W350-1 featuring new ‘Supershift 2’ technology.

The ZF W350-1, a vertical offset, direct mount marine transmission, is robustly designed to withstand continuous duty in workboat applications and is now equipped with improved gearbox shifting functionality Supershift 2, dispensing with the need for any further electronic control. Compatible with a variety of engines and propulsion systems, the ZF W350-1 has a durable cast iron construction with emergency "get home" capability and is also suitable for twin engine installations.

The ZF 400 A Transmission is the latest addition to the ZF 400 Series, the new marine transmission family for a power range up to 735 kW.  The availability of a range of gear ratios, combined with down angle, parallel, IV and W configuration variants gives manufacturers and fleet operators high flexibility designs and retrofits. Other advantages of this advanced transmission include an optional embedded electronic unit to better control the proportional valves for smoother shifting/trolling and to provide smart alert functionalities for scheduled maintenance.
